Role Description

This position is for a full-time remote Principal Red Team Developer – Operator. The role involves developing and executing Adversary Emulation, Red Team engagements, and Purple team assessments and managing and mentoring team members. The Principal Red Team Developer-Operator will also create and deploy custom tools and frameworks (Implants – C2 frameworks) and research the latest tools, techniques, and exploits. Additionally, the right candidate will deliver reports, presentations, and training.

Candidate must have experience in developing custom offensive security tools and/or C2 frameworks.

Responsibilities/Qualifications

  • Strong experience with Penetration Testing, Red Teaming, and Adversarial Simulation
  • Plan and conduct offensive engagements ranging in size, scope, focus, and approach
  • Effectively communicate findings, attack paths, recommendations, and strategies to technical and executive client stakeholders through written reports and verbal presentations
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in one of the following areas: initial access, intelligence analysis, adversary tradecraft, offensive Windows/Nix/macOS operations, evasion operations, or technical capability development
  • Utilize standard offensive security testing tools and tradecraft
  • Experience with custom tool development and automation techniques
  • Strong experience with network and web application security testing
  • Experience with cloud security testing and architecture reviews
  • Experience with vulnerability management and remediation
  • Experience with open-source security tools and platforms (C2 Frameworks, Kali Linux, Metasploit, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Certifications such as OSCP, OSCE, CRTO, CRTL, OSWE, OSED, OSEP, paCSP, CARTP, and CRTE are highly desirable.
  • Courses experiences such as Sektor7 and MaldevAcademy are required.
  • Strong experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.)
  • Strong experience with programming languages (C, C++, C#, Rust, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Windows and *NIX-based operating systems
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory
  • Aptitude for technical writing, including assessment reports, presentations, and operating procedures
  • Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
